Wall Tanking
Internal walls of a property are vulnerable to water ingress and damp. To protect or deal with existing damp walls then wall tanking could be the solution.
What is Tanking?
Wall tanking or “tanking” is a method of preventing water ingress by creating a completely impermeable waterproof barrier on an internal wall. Tanking is commonly used for basements as by completely sealing a room, a waterproof tank-like barrier is created.
Tanking Membranes
Tanking membranes (damp proof membranes) are a specifically designed plastic material made from high quality HDPE that act as a waterproof barrier to protect walls and floors from water ingress. Correctly installed, tanking membranes are durable, are engineered to withstand years of temperature fluctuation, and exposure to water without becoming worn or degraded.
Basement Tanking
Gorman Damp Proofing’s basement tanking systems are specifically designed for waterproofing below ground structures, using a Cavity Drain Membrane System. Tanking a cellar or basement can be a cost-effective way of increasing living space as well as increasing the value of your property.
